The identification of suspected electricity theft may have serious financial, criminal and administrative consequences for the consumer. However, the existence of physical findings or evidence of interference with an electricity meter does not necessarily mean that the conclusions drawn are technically correct or fully substantiated.
We undertake the investigation of suspected electricity theft cases, examining the physical evidence, technical findings and inspection procedures followed by the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) or other parties involved. Our objective is to determine whether the available evidence supports the conclusions reached and to what extent those conclusions are substantiated by the actual facts and technical evidence of the case.
Our technical investigation is not limited to examination of the electricity meter. We analyse historical electricity consumption, the technical characteristics of the electrical installation, the operating conditions of the supply, and all other available technical evidence that may contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the case.
