Article 77

General Layout of the Electrical System

1. The electrical system of motor vehicles and vehicle combinations consisting of a towing motor vehicle and one or more trailers must be constructed so that the driving lights, turn signals, fog lights, the motor vehicle’s front position lights, and the license plate light do not come on when the rear red position lights are not illuminated. In addition, the vehicle’s front white parking lights are always on when the headlights, turn signals, or fog lights are on.

This provision does not apply when headlights or turn signals are used for visual warning purposes, as provided for in paragraph 4 of Article 40, concerning the rules for the use of vehicle lights.

2. Violations committed by a person who places into circulation, as well as those who drive a vehicle or combination of vehicles that is not equipped with the electrical system specified above, which must operate in accordance with this article, are classified in category E1-A.
