Article 71

License Plate Light

1. Motor vehicles and trailers must be equipped with lights of sufficient intensity to adequately illuminate the license plate so that the number, when illuminated, is clearly legible at night under clear weather conditions from a distance of at least twenty meters (20 m) and is not directly visible to drivers of following vehicles.

2. Violations of this provision by a person who places a vehicle on the road, as well as by a person driving a motor vehicle or trailer that is not equipped with the license plate light specified in paragraph 1, shall be classified in category E1-B.
