Braking of Agricultural Machinery

1. Agricultural machinery that is designed to reach a speed exceeding thirty (30) kilometers per hour must be equipped with two (2) independent braking systems. Subparagraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph 1 and paragraph 3 of Article 59, concerning the braking systems of motor vehicles, shall apply mutatis mutandis.

2. Agricultural machinery that, by design, cannot exceed a speed of thirty (30) kilometers per hour may be equipped with only one (1) braking system

(service brake), if this system also functions as a parking brake.

3. Violations of this provision by the person who puts into service, as well as by the person who operates, an agricultural machine that is not equipped with the wheel-braking system specified in paragraphs 1 and 2, or in which such system is not operational, shall be classified in category E2-B.
