Article 63

Braking of Bicycles and Light Personal Electric Vehicles

1. The bicycles are equipped with two (2) braking systems, independent of each other, that act immediately and effectively, one (1) of which acts on the front wheel and the other on the rear wheel.

2. Light Personal Electric Vehicles are equipped with a braking system that is easy to use and provides immediate and effective braking.

3. Violations of this provision by the person who puts a bicycle or an electric bicycle into circulation, as well as by the person who rides a bicycle or e-bike that is not equipped with a braking system as described in paragraphs 1 and 2, are classified in category E1-A.
