Special Rules for Public Transportation Vehicles

1. To facilitate the movement of public transportation vehicles (mass transit) within residential areas, drivers of other vehicles, provided that doing so does not create a hazard, shall reduce their speed and, if necessary, stop to allow these vehicles to make the necessary maneuvers to depart from designated stops.

2. In the cases referred to in paragraph 1, public transportation drivers are not exempt from the obligation to signal their intention to move with their turn signals and to take the necessary precautions toavoid any danger.

3. When passengers are boarding or alighting, public transportation drivers shall pull up as close as possible to the edge of the roadway.

4. Violations of this provision are classified under Category E1-A and Category S.
