Rules for Vehicle Maneuvers

1. A driver who intends to perform a maneuver must first ensure that he or she can do so without endangering or obstructing other road users, who are traveling behind, in front of, or alongside them, or who are preparing to pass them, taking into account their position, direction, and speed.

2. Before making any maneuver, the driver must signal his intention in a timely manner using the turn signals; if the turn signals are not working, he must give the following hand signals:

(a) Extension of the arm to turn in that direction,

(b) bending the arm upward to turn toward the opposite side of the arm,

c) Lowering the arm to perform the parking maneuver.

3. The warning signal given by the turn signals must continue throughout the entire maneuver and cease when the maneuver is completed.

4. A violation of paragraphs 1 through 3 is classified as Category E1-B, except for the violation committed by a driver who performs continuous or intermittent maneuvers on the road and engages in driving that poses a danger to other road users, which is classified as category E3-B.
